RELAIS DU LOUVRE, Paris – A Smart Stay in the City
About the Hotel
Rooms with Louvre views
Relais Du Louvre offers 21 soundproofed rooms and suites, each with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and Bose Bluetooth speakers. Some rooms overlook the Louvre Museum and Saint-Germain-l'Auxerrois church, while others face a private interior patio. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with 66 international channels, minibars, and Nespresso machines in select suites.
Dining nearby
While the hotel does not have an onsite restaurant, Damigiana, an Italian bistronomic restaurant, is located 1 km away in the Palais Royal district. The menu features dishes like tartiflette and hot Chardonnay Mont d'Or with Roseval potatoes. The Comptoir de la Gastronomie, a 9-minute walk away, specializes in foie gras and duck dishes from southwest France.
Prime Paris location
The hotel is directly across from the Louvre Museum and a 15-minute walk from Notre-Dame. The Palais Royal gardens are 10 minutes away, and the Tuileries Garden is a 5-minute walk. Metro stations Louvre-Rivoli and Pont Neuf are nearby, providing easy access to other Paris attractions.
Historic building
Housed in a 16th-century building, the hotel occupies a former newspaper office and café frequented by 19th-century artists. The structure survived 19th-century urban renovations that transformed much of central Paris. Original architectural details remain throughout the property.
Personalized service
The hotel team provides local recommendations, including lesser-known museums like the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature. Staff can arrange tickets for Louvre visits and suggest optimal visiting times to avoid crowds. The front desk offers luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures.

Guest Ratings & Reviews
I stayed at this hotel, which had both positives and negatives. The rooms were small but manageable, and I found them suitable for my needs. The service was exceptional with a fantastic staff. The location was outstanding, near major attractions in Paris. The dining experience was pleasant but could use some variety. Overall, the hotel provided a good value for the price paid.
I had a delightful stay at this historical Paris hotel. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very clean, offering a surprising outdoor patio for a quiet retreat. The service was welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The hotel's location was exceptional, being close to major attractions. Although the dining options were limited, the overall experience was fantastic.
I truly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate our luggage and shopping bags but a bit small for breakfast trays, yet the wonderful air conditioning made coming back after a hot day of touring very pleasant. The service, especially from Frederic, was incredibly helpful and friendly. The location was superb, close to many restaurants, transport options, and major attractions like the Louvre and the Seine. The dining experience was delicious, with generous servings, especially the croissants and yogurt.
The hotel is centrally located and provided a cozy and clean stay. The staff was extremely helpful and lovely. The dining options were satisfactory, and the facilities were adequate. The overall value for money was good, especially considering the convenient location.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the upside, its prime location across from the Louvre and near the Seine made exploring Paris a breeze. The rooms were spotless, but a water stain above the bedhead was off-putting. The service was exceptional, with very kind and accommodating staff, but I found the dining options limited. Overall, a convenient choice for a stay in the heart of Paris, though improvements could be made in certain areas.
I had the surprise of an outdoor patio, and my room was very quiet as I had requested. It had a flat-screen TV, internet access, and a king-size bed with lots of pillows. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, well-appointed even as a single with a safe, stocked minibar, and lovely organic toiletries in the bathroom.
